A break in the Rain – Windmill Meadows (POTA GB4306)

90+ Contacts and Zero Rain: A BARC Success Story! 📻✨

Members of the Club set-up at Windmill Meadows this weekend for some POTA action. From throwing wires into trees, setting-up multiple antennas, operating on HF and VHF, to managing 20m pile-ups, the afternoon proved to be a fun and social occasion..

The Highlights:

  • ✅ 59 contacts on 40m (SSB)
  • ✅ 30 contacts on 20m (SSB)
  • ✅ Strong local support on 2m FM/SSB
  • ✅ Great propagation and even better company!

Huge thanks to all the hunters who found us in the logs and the local visitors who stopped by to chat.

Missed the fun? Join BARC for our next outing, it’s the best way to level up your portable gear skills and get hands-on experience away from the shack.
