What happens when you mix Bracknell Amateur Radio Club (BARC) with our friends from Reading and District Amateur Radio Club (RADARC)? at the Back of Beyond in Reading?
A fantastic night out!
We traded our radios for pint glasses on Saturday night for our popular “Beers and Cheers” social. It was the perfect chance to put faces to callsigns and meet the people behind the voices we hear on the air.
From antenna builds to local news, the chat didn’t stop, just like on the radio.
A huge thanks to everyone from both clubs who made the trip into Reading. It’s nights like these that remind us that although our hobby is built on technology, it’s the people that make it great.
If you saw a group of people, some wearing their Callsign badges, laughing loudly and speaking in what sounded like a secret code, then that was probably us!
