Record Attendance for Yaesu Tech Talk

There was good reason for our record meeting attendance, a visit by Karl Brazier from Yaesu, who was as going to explain some of the latest technology implemented in the headline range of Yaesu Transceivers.

Karl described how Hybrid SDR processing of the received signal was performed and displayed block diagrams of the process and routes within the radios.

It was interesting to be able to compare the differences between the models and the pros and cons of each radios design.

Following a fun and interesting presentation there were many questions from the floor which Karl answered and explained in detail.

Finally it was time for hands on time with the full range of transceivers that Karl had brought along for us to try. The current lineup from Yaesu includes something for everyone, from the occasional QSO to full on contesting.

Thanks to Karl for making the trip from Southampton on a dark wet evening.
