Tesco Stronger Starts – Meeting our Community

On Sunday 15th November, Bracknell Amateur Radio Club held a highly successful community engagement day at Tesco, supporting the ‘Stronger Starts‘ initiative.

It was a pleasure meeting shoppers and discussing the positive role of amateur radio in our local community. We were particularly encouraged by the enthusiasm shown for the hobby, especially among our younger visitors. The Morse code practice key proved incredibly popular, with many children demonstrating remarkable consistency and natural timing.

We also had valuable conversations with several former radio amateurs who expressed interest in becoming active again, and we look forward to welcoming them at our upcoming meetings.”
