An evening multimode POTA activation of Peacock Meadows (GB-4285)
During the fourth heatwave of the year we were blessed with a cool sunny evening for our POTA activation attempt of Jennet’s Park and Peacock Meadow (GB-4285) .
The team of BARC members set-up three stations on 40m, 20m and 15m for SSB, FT8 and CW modes. A true multimode operation spread out across the park.

It was a sunny evening and a lot of visitors were taking a quiet stroll around the meadow, the only sounds being our stations and radio chat between us, attracting some visitors and questions about POTA from the public.

With three concurrent operators all using GX4BRA across the bands we quickly logged a successful activation of the park, but on such a lovely evening we continued up until the planned finish time of 9pm.

Thank you to all that joined us for a lovely evening of radio.
