Dave Sugden Trophy 2023 Awarded to Steve M7TED

The Dave Sugden Memorial Trophy is awarded annually at the discretion of the committee to the member of the Bracknell Amateur Radio Club who has contributed in the most significant way to club activities or amateur radio in general.

Dave Sugden G4CGS was a former member of the club and the trophy is in commemoration of his life.

For 2023, the Committee were unanimous in their decision and delighted to award the trophy to Steve M7TED for his commitment to the club since joining several years ago. Soon after gaining his license, Steve kindly acted as Invigilator for exam sessions, has attended our club meetings regularly and throughout 2022 has taken, edited and produced videos of our Club presentations and meetings using his own equipment. Steve has uploaded these to YouTube to create our own Channel, making the videos available to all.

Steve was unfortunately unable to attend the AGM this year, so the award was accepted on his behalf by Dave G3YMC. Steve will be presented with the engraved trophy at our next club meeting on 8th Feb 2023.
