Test Equipment and Testing for Radio Amateurs- Mike G4KFK
Our November meeting, hosted by Mike G4KFK was an opportunity for members to being along any test equipment they have and any radio equipment they would like checked, tested or adjusted. Mike has accumulated a huge range of test equipment allowing for almost all aspects of electrical, RF, and antenna testing to be performed. To start the evening Mike gave us a presentation on some of the most useful test equipment for radio amateurs and the range of tests that could be performed using it, such as Transmitted Power, Spectral Analysis , Antenna VSWR, Coax Cable faults and much more.
It was also interesting to see the large range and quantity of test equipment brought in by club members, from traditional high power rated equipment to modern digital oscilloscopes and microprocessor controlled low powered spectrum analysers and vector network analysers.
Thanks to Mike G4KFK for another informative and fun presentation and to all that were able to attend and bring in their test equipment for us all to see and use.
